Paulina is a student, and the most popular girl in Casper High School, being a cheerleader of the football team. She’s a rival of Sam Manson.

Appearance

Paulina is a tall, slender, tan-skinned teenage girl, as she’s considered to be one of the most beautiful girls at Casper High School. She has turquoise-blue eyes with a singular eyelash, and long black hair that is wavy at the bottom, and her hair is also styled into a micro fringe with a pink hair clip adorning the side. Paulina also wears makeup consisting of lavender eyeshadow and mauve-purple lipstick.

For attire, Paulina wears a simple pink crop-top with thin white stripes around each of the short sleeves, dusty-blue capri jeggings and white flats.

She is sometimes shown wearing other outfits as well.

Personality

Paulina Cheerleading...In Her Own Special Way.

Paulina is a vain, stylish, insensitive and Danny Phantom-obsessed girl who usually thinks she is above anyone below her social status, described as "shallow" by Sam Manson.

Paulina only cares about fashion, popularity and beauty, and she is willing to use others for her own benefit, like going to the dance with Danny Fenton in order to make Sam jealous in "Parental Bonding."

Paulina also only gives Danny and his friends invitations to her quinceañera because Danny Phantom usually appears when they're around, even asking Phantom to take an invitation so that she can cancel theirs.

There are moments where she can be very cold and serious, such as treating Valerie negatively after she and her father become poor. Whenever angry, Paulina seems to have no issues taking revenge, trying to attack Danny for choosing Sam in the beauty pageant in "Beauty Marked" and chasing after Tucker because she has faint memories of him making her wash his feet in "King Tuck."

Contrary to her regular behavior, Paulina is able to be nice and friendly on occasion. She's genuinely thankful to Danny Phantom for saving her and likes him beyond just his good looks and popularity, but also his heroism and kindness. When her "satellite" friend Star disappears in "Claw of the Wild," Paulina is very worried about her, especially if Star gets sunburned.

Depending on the situation, she is willing to help, shown when she helps disguise Tucker as an adult and fights Youngblood's Crew to save her parents in "Pirate Radio".

Even after finding out that Danny Phantom is actually Danny Fenton, she still accepts him while helping him and his friends get away from the Guys in White.

Relationships

Danny Fenton

The two first interacted in "Parental Bonding" where Danny tried to ask Paulina to the dance which only had him ending up getting humiliated after his pants became intangible. In addition, Paulina also likes Danny Phantom more than Danny Fenton. However, she along with Star likes Danny more than other unpopular kids as seen in "Beauty Marked" but got surprised when he chose Sam as the winner. However, Paulina is more manipulative than Star, because she believes that fashion-styled bullying is right.

Sam Manson

Sam openly dislikes Paulina for her shallow nature and mean spirit. In "Parental Bonding", After Danny gets humiliated after failing to ask Paulina out, Sam calls Paulina "shallow", which causes Paulina to try to get revenge on her by taking Danny away from her, but then later learns that Sam isn’t Danny's girlfriend.

Tucker Foley

Tucker has a crush on Paulina alongside Danny, but she along with Star had no interest in him. In "King Tuck", Paulina and Star had to wash his feet, and they didn't like it.

Star

Star is Paulina's best friend. She and Star bully and disrespect lesser students such as Danny, Sam or Tucker (sometimes only Sam or Tucker, even though Danny is also often bullied) whenever they get the chance (until Season 2 or 3, at least temporarily). Both she and Paulina shared interest in Danny in "Beauty Marked", and both of them were shocked to see him declaring Sam as the winner. Paulina had her concern about her best friend when she was kidnapped by Walker's goons in "Claw of the Wild".

Valerie Gray

Paulina used to be friends with Valerie in "Shades of Gray". When she and her father become poor, Paulina treated her pretty cold and badly.

History

Season 1

Paulina is first seen in "Parental Bonding," with all of the boys fawning over her. Danny Phantom plans to ask her out to the school dance. After she makes fun of him Sam Manson comes over and insults her.

Planning to get revenge on Sam and thinking that she has a crush on Danny, Paulina accepts Danny's offer, who gives her an amulet. Danny finds out later that the amulet is enchanted, and attempts to take it back from her during the dance, using the excuse that it belongs to Sam.

While Danny's overshadowing his father, Sam goes into the bathroom with Paulina, saying that she only sees Danny as a friend and would like the amulet back. Paulina gives it back, revealing her cruel reason for going to the dance with Danny and announcing her plan to dump him.

This angers Sam enough to make the amulet turn her into a dragon, scaring Paulina enough to cause her to faint. As the dance finishes up, Dash Baxter is seen flirting with Paulina, but Sam lets go of her issues with Paulina for the time being.

Paulina is one of the humans that Walker and his goons overshadow in "Public Enemies." Seeing Danny Phantom after he saves her makes Paulina realize that he's a good ghost.

She begins to have a crush on Danny's secret identity after this experience, decorating the inside of her locker with pictures of Phantom. At the water park in "Lucky in Love," Kitty overshadows her and began dating Danny after pretending to find out his secret.

After he discovers what's going on, Danny saves her again, much to her increasing gratitude.

Season 2

In "Memory Blank," Paulina invited Danny, Sam and Tucker to her quinceañera.

In "Reality Trip," Paulina and the rest of the world find out the connection between Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom. She, along with the rest of the popular kids, helps him and his friends escape from the Guys in White and kisses him, putting Sam into a jealous rage.

Ghost powers

Since Paulina is only a normal human teenage girl, she has absolutely no powers at all. However, she has shown several ghost powers, which is usually because of another ghost that is possessing her or something similar, the powers she showed are:

Paulina ghost sense.

• Ghost Sense (briefly): shown in "Doctor's Disorders", when bitten by a ghost mosquito. It seemed to cause her some kind of physical pain (mild at best), but after Danny Phantom explained what it was and how it worked, she seemed not to mind anymore. After she and the other students were cured of the mosquito virus, she lost this ability.
• Dragon Transformation (briefly): in the episode "Parental Bonding", while having the amulet of the princess Dorathea, she had the same powers that the princess has. When she gets angry, she becomes a dragon having these powers Flight, Fire Breath, Superhuman Strength and Superhuman Endurance.

• Flight (briefly): when she was possessed by one of Walker's men, she was able to fly at great speed, either because she’s a dragon or a ghost (maybe even both) she’s able to fly at great speed.
  • Back Sliding (briefly): when she was possessed by one of Walker's men, she was able to zip on the surfaces. (This is how Danny's learned how to zip on the surfaces).
• Superhuman Strength (briefly): when she was possessed by one of Walker's men, she was nearly strong as Danny. While as a dragon possibly due to her size, she is strong enough to overcome Danny.
• Superhuman Durability/Resistance (briefly): when she was possessed by one of Walker's men, she was able to crash against a signboard without any sign of injury. Also, when she was a dragon, she was able to survive to several attacks from Danny without any further damage, even able to get up after being knocked out by Danny without any problem.

  • The other characters whose ages were revealed are Danny Phantom, Jazz Fenton and Valerie Gray.

• According to Spectra, Paulina has a mole, though the location of it is unknown.
• Paulina only shows interest in Danny's ghost half, rather than his human half, which is the opposite of Valerie, who likes human Danny but despises his ghost half.
• Paulina's relationship with Danny is similar to the relationship of Lois Lane and Clark Kent/Superman, where she’s only interested in the superhero part and not the normal part.

  • She's voiced by Maria Canals Barrera, who's also known for her live-action role Theresa Russo from the Disney Channel original series Wizards of Waverly Place and Hawkgirl/Shayera Hol on Justice League.
• Trixie Tang from The Fairly Odd Parents, another Nickelodeon series by Butch Hartman, shares similarities with Paulina. Paulina is also considered to be the series' counterpart to Trixie as well.
