Shade would be a villain turned ally in the proposed Valerie Gray spin-off. Shade's main ability is camouflage. She is able to make herself blend into the darkness, look like anything, and even the ability to shade using light, though she cannot do this for long periods of time. Her ability can also be used to affect someone else. For example, if she were teaming up with Valerie, she could surround her and camouflage her or make her look like something else, just like she can for herself.[2]
